The current Estradot/estradiol patch shortage is expected to continue through to 2025.
However, Pharmac is looking into funding Estrogel, an oestradiol gel product. They are considering having Estrogel supplied by Pharmaco from 1 November 2024.

Who does this apply to?
Pharmac are seeking feedback from anyone who is currently using medications containing oestradiol or who may do so in the future, including cis women, trans women, non-binary people, takatāpui, fa’afafine, and others. They are also seeking feedback from healthcare providers, pharmaceutical providers, and health advocacy groups.
