See our previous post here for our Kirihimete & New Year hours and for information on accessing care during this period.
Using the Well portal over the next two weeks
We have turned off the messaging service now as most of our staff are either already on leave or will be after today.
You can still order non-urgent prescriptions via Well, but expect delays in these being processed. Our doctors will be continuing to monitor prescription requests and important lab results from home, but they are technically on leave and prescription requests may take a few days to be actioned.
Appointment bookings are only available through Well for up to 3 weeks ahead of time, so you may not see any available appointments showing for your doctor/any clinicians. Please call reception instead if you need to make a booking for early 2025.
Some important points for services during our reduced hours (see our Kirihimete & New Years hours above)
Only one receptionist will be working, so there may be delays in getting through on the phone if they are busy
Only one GP will be working and they will have limited availability for acute appointments; if you need urgent care and the doctor is fully booked already, we can give you advice on where to seek care instead
If you need to see a nurse for something that is time-sensitive (such as removal of sutures, change of dressing, an important regular injection, or baby immunisations), please call our nurse line to discuss
Doctors will not be available to provide medical certificates, complete medical forms, or send referrals (unless referrals or ACC medical certificates are necessary as part of an acute care appointment)
We return to our usual opening hours from Mon 6 Jan, but Dr Harris remains on leave until Mon 13 Jan and Dr Jubert remains on leave until Fri 31 Jan - so please expect limited availability with our remaining clinicians during January
Meri Kirihimete!
Our staff are looking forward to well-deserved breaks, and The Terrace Medical Centre team wishes you all a safe and happy Kirihimete and New Year!
