Dr Meijer and his whānau will be returning to the Netherlands
Dr Meijer joined us from the Netherlands in early 2023 and we have loved having him, his partner Nanne, and their young son here as part of the TTMC team. They will all be greatly missed. But after a little over two years of enjoying Aotearoa NZ, they're ready to return home to the Netherlands and their wider whānau there.
Dr Meijer's last day with us is yet to be determined, but it will be between Rāhina te 17 o Hui-tanguru - Rāmere te 20 o Hui-tanguru | Monday 17 - Thursday 20 February 2025.
Care of Dr Meijer's patients
We are searching for a new GP to take over Dr Meijer's role and will keep his current patients updated once we have secured a replacement. In the meantime, our nurse practitioner, Jasper Nacilla, along with our other doctors and nursing team will still be available to provide care to you.
We understand that there have been recent concerns in the media regarding medical centers losing doctors and patients having difficulty accessing care. If you are one of Dr Meijer's current patients, please be assured that we have processes in place to minimize interruptions to your access to appointments and prescriptions. However, there may be slightly longer wait times for processing prescription requests and a small delay in scheduling non-urgent appointments until we are able to get a permanent replacement for him.
