Wegovy (semaglutide), manufactured by Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals, has now been approved by Medsafe for use in Aotearoa NZ, and we have been getting a few enquiries recently from patients interested in being prescribed this. 

However, while it has been approved for use, Wegovy is not actually available in Aotearoa NZ yet and cannot be prescribed yet. 

It will likely be announced in the news again when Wegovy does become available.
